Come Alive! Coaching: Principles of Healing

6-week Individual Coaching Program

The Principles of Healing Coaching Program is based on one central truth: unprecedented intimacy with God (from no religion in particular) can bring us to life in unprecedented ways! In the first six weeks of this coaching program, I will help you dream bigger about how much intimacy you can have with God, and help you learn how to let that intimacy heal you.

The goal of this program is not only to help you heal, but also to invite you to join a movement whose mission is to bring the earth to life. Think of what would happen to our families, our businesses, our politics, and more, if we learned to come alive in unprecedented ways, from the inside out!

6 Week Coaching Outline:

Week 1: A more intimate view of God

In our first session, I will lead you in a meditation that will help you understand the world from God’s perspective. The big takeaway is that God’s love intimately touches everything that exists, everything that happens, and every part of you. 

What this means is that if you learn to listen for the story God is writing in everything going on in your life, you will come alive!

Strategies you will learn:

  • Experience your fundamental oneness with God through meditation.

  • Take the power out of fearful circumstances by learning to see what God is doing behind the scenes.

  • Learn how to practice being present with God in every moment.

Week 2: How intimacy with God brings healing

In our second session, you will learn the basic principles for how things heal. The first principle is rest. When we choose to trust that we have access to unprecedented intimacy with God, the natural response is rest. When we rest, everything about us becomes a little more like God. Our minds become a little more like paradise. Our hearts become a little more full of love. Our bodies become a little healthier. The world around us gets moved toward redemption. 

Strategies you will learn:

  • Practice acceptance of all your circumstances

  • After acceptance, practice taking ownership of your circumstances.

  • Learn to build intimacy between parts of yourself that are in conflict

Week 3: How to heal your mind

In our third session, you will learn about how to heal your mind. We will discuss how everything in your mind naturally wants to heal, if you choose to practice acceptance and learn to listen to all of your circumstances as the loving voice of God in your life. 

When we choose not to identify with our thoughts, but to simply observe them, and then begin to exercise leadership over them, we take back power that we have been giving away, sometimes for years! 

Strategies you will learn:

  • Learn how to observe your thoughts rather than letting them control you.

  • Learn how to let your thoughts have a conversation instead of dragging you in two different directions.

  • Learn how to become single-minded.

Week 4: How to heal your body, part 1

In our fourth session, you will learn the basic principles for healing the body. Just as we heal the mind by first observing our thoughts and then building intimacy between them, so we heal the body by first observing our ailments and then connecting deeply to what those ailments are telling us about our intimacy with God. 

Everything in your body wants to heal, and everything in your body knows how to heal–you just have to know how to allow it to heal!

Strategies you will learn:

  • Learn how to increase your mind-body connection

  • Learn how to listen to what your body is telling you about your spiritual state. 

  • Learn how to speak to, and listen to, your body.

Week 5: How to heal your body, part 2

In our fifth session, we will dive deeper into the principles for healing the body. Modern medicine takes a “below-to-above” approach to healing the body, but we will talk about what it looks like to take an “above-to below” approach to healing. When we look upward for our healing, amazing insights can come to us, and amazing things can happen!

Strategies you will learn:

  • Learn how to identify the connections between moral health and spiritual health.

  • Learn how to notice and nurture changes in your body that move you toward health.

  • Learn how to find and speak from a place of authority in your mind that allows you to create newness in your body.

Week 6: How to heal your world

The same principles that bring your mind, heart, and body to life can also bring your world to life. In this session we will talk about how to bring your healing intimacy with God into your family, workplace, communities, and more! We will discuss what it looks like to practice rest, and help others do the same, and what it looks like to build intimacy in fragmented spaces and relationships.

Strategies you will learn:

  • Learn how to see every person as a perfect part of God’s perfect story. 

  • Learn how to listen to, and participate in the redemption story God is writing in your world

  • Learn how to allow yourself to be changed by others in healthy ways, and to offer healthy change to others.

Week 7 and Beyond

After we have covered the basic principles in our first six sessions, we will start to dive deep into focusing on bringing healing to the places in your life that are most important to you. We will always work from an “Inner Person > Outer Person > Outside the Person” perspective, looking for healing to start within you, and pour out from there into the world around you. What would you start to work on today, if you really believed your world could come to life in infinitely beautiful ways?
